First Edition

May 18, 2025

The first edition of Starry Night Tango filled the Hungarian House of New York with music, passion, and community. On May 18, 2025, 17 couples — including 14 distinguished tango masters with their students — brought to life a unique showcase that celebrated both artistry and teaching. More than a performance, it was a cultural celebration where education and tradition came together to keep tango alive.

Starry Night Tango not only showcased talent and growth, but also emphasized that education is what sustains the legacy of a culture. By giving students a professional platform to perform, the showcase honored tango as both an artistic expression and a living tradition that continues to grow in the United States.

Second Edition

November 6 & 15, 2025

The second edition of Starry Night Tango expanded the vision of the showcase across two memorable nights, bringing the celebration of tango to multiple stages in New York City. On November 6, 23 couples presented their work as part of the official program of the Abrazo Tango Festival, uniting the spirit of the festival with the educational mission of Starry Night Tango.

The experience concluded on November 15 at the Hungarian House of New York, where 17 couples took the stage for a gala night that combined formal performances with the signature Milonga with Maestro Rounds. Across both evenings, the second edition deepened the dialogue between students and masters, reaffirming Starry Night Tango as a growing platform where learning, artistry, and community come together to sustain the living tradition of tango.
